IF I WASN'T SO DAMN OLD
I should wear a heavy sweater
Or maybe two is better
Because it’s so damn cold
Building snowmen and igloos
Doing anything that I choose
If I wasn’t so damn old!
Watching dogs jump in a snowdrift
Your spirit gets a huge lift
Or so I have been told
But I see dogs enjoying
And think that it’s so annoying
That I am so freaking old
Now I
Can’t tell you why
The snow falls from the sky
And I know
The wind will blow
I just can’t say
Where it will go
So I while away the hours
Remembering the flowers
That grow when it’s not cold
And the joy that it will bring
When the calendar says it’s Spring
Cause you see I’m so damn old!
