The past is gone
We want it back
It's looked upon
As what we lack

Ideas debated
Foundations laid
New laws created
Decisions made

The country moved forward
Our bodies our own
Opinions were heard
With a gentler tone

 

The world looked to us
As a nation admired
Voting sans fuss
Our freedoms inspired

 

Then came the dark times
Greed took the reins
Many ignored crimes
They caused great pains
 
Hate encouraged
Violence ensued
Truth disparaged
One party crude

 

Then an election
To fix what was lacking
Made a correction
Sent dt packing
 
But our job is not finished
We have not yet won
With focus undiminished
Vote the GOP DONE!
