Just a quick thought on the supposed justification for the failed terrorism act in Times Square this week.
This small minded piece of shit, for that is what he is, decided to kill as many pedestrians in Manhattan as possible because he was upset about the use of drones by the United States military to root out terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
His feelings made known by friends were that the United States should not hide in high flying unmanned planes but should attack on the ground, face to face and man to man.
You mean you don't condone flying jets into buildings killing thousands of totally innocent people?
You don't condone using brainwashed useless low-life peasants to blow themselves up thereby taking the lives of as many innocent people as possible with them? All while the cowardly leaders sit and shit in caves hiding from the light of day?
You mean you don't like hiding in underground rat holes and building networks of caves from which you send orders to your suicide bombing idiots?
And by the way, I didn't notice you sticking around Times Square to see what happened. Pretty non face to face if you ask me you useless coward.
You are alive because you are an American citizen and we believe in the law. What do you believe in, 75 virgins? Your wife and children must be very proud of you.
The day you and your ilk can successfully claim and hold the high ground is the day this world will end as we know it! And on that day we will all say, Shazaam!

The Closet is Full
Apropos addition to the story below is the news that Family Council co-founder George Alan Rekers is trying to heal Gays! That is why he has contact with them.
And the fact that he hired a gay man to carry his junk, I mean luggage should not be misconstrued as anything but kindness to those beneath him, or on top of him depending on his mood.
The responses by all of the religious community hypocrites who get caught practicing what they preach against is predictable. It is akin to the sound made by Jackie Gleason on the Honeymooners when he got caught with his fingers in the cookie jar. (Homina homina homina for the younger generation.)
It's funny how many self-righteous people "talk the talk" but won't "walk the walk."

Garbage Of Politics
A short time ago I was struck by the number of hypocrites in government. I actually started to compile a list of politicians who 'doth protesteth too much' against actions they themselves revel in.
Both sides of the aisle are guilty of the sins they rail against but it seems like the Republicans and more accurately the so-called religious right are the most guilty.
The mea culpas coming from this group of elected low-life individuals are as empty and devoid of conviction as can be. You need only look to see where they are after coming clean to know that they had no intention of going softly into that political goodnight.
But compiling the list became so daunting a task that I placed the project on hold until I could set aside 100 hours of free time. Luckily someone else with a faster CPU has been able to do the dirty work for me and for us. The fact that the list of was actually made last June leaves one to wonder how many more hypocritical bastards should be added to the 123 noted there now.
The Genuflecting Odorous Parasites who
form the Glib Orgasmic Partnership
under the Guise Of Palin make up
the Grim Ominous Party known simply as the GOP. And here they they are outed in one convenient place.
So without further ado it is with a tip of the hat to author/compiler Leah Burton for her compilation herewith linked.

Copy This!
Just for the ridiculous fun of it here is an OMG moment brought to you by a group of Rube Goldberg disciples.
ENJOY!
And they say American ingenuity is gone! HAH. It's not gone, it's just taking a holiday from reality.
Let's see you come up with something as impressive and totally useless!

Items Katie Couric Won't Report
Law enforcement performed beautifully as they identified and apprehended Shazaam, the would-be terrorist in NYC. Some feel his intent was to see how law enforcement reacted so future plans will work better. And although he appeared to be inept had they let the bastard get away who knows what could have happened later? Except that the Republicans would have blamed Obama for the entire episode. As it is they are pointing to him and saying he keeps allowing terror on America ’s soil when no such event took place under Bush. Really? None you can think of? Does the number you dial to report an emergency ring a bell a-holes? It must be nice to be so stupid and not worry about anything that happens in the real world.
On Suffolk Long Island a Republican weekly newsrag, I mean paper was under fire for depicting the Obamas as the fighting couple from the old TV show, “Sanford and Son.” The photos were obviously racist but they are protected by our first amendment rights. And since they were not intended to ‘incite to riot’ they are legal. The bad taste was defended by the publisher and the Suffolk County Republican chairman by asking the question, "Where was the outrage when Bush was shown as a chimpanzee?" I must disagree with the last statement because I heard plenty of outrage at the time! From PETA – Animal rights agencies – Zoo owners etc. They were all up in arms. Hey Laura you'll just have to include this episode in your next book which will expand on your delusions about being poisoned.
The NTSB said this week that captain Sullenberger might have been able to land his plane back at LaGuardia rather than ditching it in the Hudson River . They did however admit that the end result was a favorable one even though plenty of luck was involved. Good for you NTSB! At least you didn’t send the good captain a bill for the plane on behalf of American Airlines.
The Democrats gave in to the minority Republicans yesterday – and this is news? The bill to overhaul the financial system and thereby protect the public from another massive meltdown has been watered down once again. Removed from the bill is the safety net of $50 billion that was to be funded by the banks themselves and tapped into in case one of them failed. The idea was equivalent to the banks paying insurance policy premiums for their use in times of need. Now that the Republicans have taken the burden of funding that policy away from the big banks the public may look forward to future bailout burdens. I am not sure which party is worse but then it’s like asking a convict, lethal injection or hanging?
And speaking of being hung the ballsy non convicted convicts of Goldman Sacks agreed to pay $450,000 to settle a 2008 lawsuit concerning insider trading. Naturally GS did not admit any wrong doing as part of the deal. Obviously they were completely innocent of all charges – That’s why they paid the hush money! Oh and before you run for the tissues, in the time it took to read this sentence GS made triple that amount in fraud, I mean investing.

The Battle the Bulge
In war an army is only as good as its weapons and personnel trained in their use. But no matter how well your troops are trained if they're carrying blanks they will lose.
That's why it's important to have the best weapons at your disposal.
It has also been said that an army travels on its stomach. This goes back to the days of Napoleon who may or may not have coined the phrase but definitely knew the value of a good meal. That should not be surprising considering he was French and had brandy and a delicious dessert named after him.
We Americans love to eat.
We especially love to try new and exciting foods. And we will generally go out of our way to find and taste test a new product. That is why companies like KFC introduce things like the immensely gross 'Double Down.'
This delightful conglomerate of sodium (1380 mg); fat (32 g!!); and calories (540) is touted as, "so meaty there's no room for the bun."
Eat a couple of those with a large cola and fries and be proud to have consumed your minimum yearly requirement of yecch!
So finally we come to grips with our latest enemy; food.
This enemy is insidious.
It hides in our cupboards at home.
On the streets its enticing aromas waft our way wooing us to our doom.
The enemy is fast and it delivers, guaranteed.
The flesh is weak so we need our generals to be strong for us. We must not not always eat the meat we meet. We need new armor to help us fight back the urge to splurge. Our figures are at stake. We must draw the line at our waist and not let it go to waste.
That is why our government has started to root out the enemy and not a moment too soon.
Last year on Long Island the Democrats finally passed into law a simple yet effective way to spot the enemy. They ruled that fast food restaurants must post the nutritional value, or non-value, of their product.
Armed with knowledge an unsuspecting customer could finally decide what his poison was, literally.
But alas the enemy has allies. These friends of our foes are known as Republicans and they took control of the Nassau County legislature early this year. They immediately went after and repealed only one Democratic edict; this one.
Stating that the new Democratic law will only be in conflict with a newer Federal law that will take place some time in the future they felt is was better to allow the enemy free reign until then.
The repeal of the nutritional value edict was most likely applauded in board rooms and health insurance agencies across the island. One may assume funeral homes were not too upset either.
Thanks Nassau County GOP for saving us from all the guilt and angst we would have felt had we known how bad our food was.
We have met the enemy and we have eaten it!

Business as Usual!?!
The latest euphemism about to bite us in the arse, as the British would say is being brought to you by those wonderful people at BP.
BP, Beyond Petroleum nee British Petroleum has said that they will in fact pay for the clean-up involved in the horrific oil spill about to cover New Orleans' coast line in sludge.
Good news. right?
However the words they used were, "Usual and Ordinary."
Ordinary???
So this type of thing is expected?
Gosh BP, thanks for letting us know!
We have all had to come up against the 'usual and customary' charge claim by the poor health insurance industry so we know all too well what it means when a large corporation uses euphemisms. Basically it means grab your ankles boys.
That may sound a bit crude but hey, we are talking about oil here!
So what can we expect from BP when it comes to this Big Price tag?
The Big Picture is they will most likely pay some of the cost and fight the rest in the courts. In the end they will spend on attorneys or donate to a worthy Senator's campaign fund a fraction of what the real cost will be.
The price of oil will naturally increase due to the loss of millions of gallons in the gulf and that will cause the price of a gallon of gas to rise. Seems like an eventual Big Profit for all the oil companies.
We the people will foot the Better Portion of the bill and that, my friend is what's known as Usual and Ordinary!

A Different Sort of May Day
Mayday!
The term has become to be known as a call for help. Derived from the French word, 'm'aider' which means 'come and help me,' it is as clear as the dots and dashes used to spell out the familiar S.O.S. which stands for Save Our Ship.
Both of the above terms are evident in our lives today although not as literally verbalized. The millions of people who are un or under-employed are hoping a life line will be tossed their way so they do not sink into the sea of bankruptcy or worse.
A juxtaposition of sorts during this period of high unemployment is the fact that many nations across the world celebrate May Day, May 1st as 'International Workers Day.' I guess fewer people will be celebrating this year since there fewer workers.
It is also fitting that as many people get ready to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, the unofficial, and incorrect date of Mexico's independence, America is faced with a political debate centering on illegal immigration. the fight is aimed squarely at aliens crossing our border from Mexico.
(Cinco De Mayo actually commemorates a defeat of the French in 1862 but that's another story.)
But no matter what term we use to define a problem one thing is clear, we seem to be in a constant battle against some enemy.
Yesterday in Manhattan a crudely constructed bomb manufactured by the mind of a lunatic as yet unknown was contained and dismantled. Luck and some observant vendors along with quick action by New York's finest averted what could have been a much worse situation.
The net result was short term chaos and a long term reminder that the battle goes on and it goes on on many fronts.

Sometimes the fight is against nature as thousands of volunteers and concerned citizens attempt to block and divert a massive oil spill from literally putting the finishing touches on the death of New Orleans.
As awful as Katrina was the city was coming back.
Thanks, BP, heck of a job guys!!
President Roosevelt famously said that the only thing to fear is fear itself. I'm afraid he may not have been completely accurate.
I do not fear terrorism although it could get me.
I do not fear the unknown because, well after all it is unknown.
I do not fear many things that perhaps I should merely because that is not a way to live.
But I do fear inaction.
I fear that our law-makers have lost sight of their raison d'etre, their reason to exist! Instead of bickering and posturing and checking the polls to see if they will win elections next November or two Novembers hence they must get back to the jobs for which they were elected.
Thomas Paine said it best, "Lead, follow, or get out of the way!" He also said, "These are the times that try men's souls." I guess he was channeling Nostradamus because he hit the nail on the head for today even though he passed away in 1803!
Some members of Congress complain that President Obama is asking them to do too much. They cannot tackle all these problems because it is too hard! (It brings to mind President Bush and his "It's hard work" whine.)
In 1962 John F Kennedy said, "We choose to do these things not because they are easy but because they are hard." It seems that we accomplished a fair amount of things during that decade.
In America we are told from birth that we make our own future. We can grow up to do anything or be anyone and the sky is the limit. Well let's hope that limit is not falling.
America is Sending Out Signals and crying Mayday once more. Save Our Society!
But this time we need intelligent leadership. And if that leadership cannot be bi-partisan then sobeit!
Hey Congress - Get 'er done.
